Spend a full day at Tromsøbadet, a modern public pool and wellness centre with indoor pools, water slides, Finnish sauna, steam room, plunge pool, and a heated outdoor pool facing the mountains. You can swim laps, relax in hot water, bring the family, or watch for the northern lights after dark.

Travel from Tromsø to Ramfjordbotn with guides such as Rita, Matas, Mathieu, or Federico. You will wear a dry survival suit over your clothes, float in the Arctic fjord for up to about 100 minutes, then warm up with hot drinks, local snacks, and cinnamon rolls baked over a campfire. Night tours may include Northern Lights.

Meet your English-speaking guide in Vervet, Tromsø, for a 15-minute safety briefing, then spend about 90 minutes floating in a professional rescue suit. You can relax in the harbour, try a 2 to 3 meter dock jump, and receive photos, a warm drink, and an Arctic Ocean Floaters Club certificate.

Meet at Magic Ice Bar in central Tromsø, ride to Eidkjosen, and spend about two hours floating in the fjord with guides such as Karl, Carl, Sophie, Ida, or Fabricio. Warm immersion suits, rescue practice, photos, hot drinks, and Norwegian waffles are included. Bring dry clothes, since water can enter at the neck.

Travel 25 minutes from Tromsø to Ramfjord for a calm Arctic floating session in a thermal immersion rescue suit. Guides such as Mathieu, Matthew, Lucine, and Stef explain the process, take photos, and help you feel secure on the water. Afterward, warm up with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lefse, brunost, and fire-roasted cinnamon rolls.

From Tromsø, drive about 25 minutes to Ramfjord for a small-group night float. You’ll wear thermal layers and a rescue suit, then relax in Arctic seawater under the stars. Ride an electric car from Tromsø to weather-sheltered fjords on Kvaløya with guide Mathieu. Put on a warm immersion rescue suit, float in the Arctic Ocean, then enjoy hot drinks, local snacks, and a fire-cooked meal. The small group is limited to eight, and non-swimmers are welcome.
“This was a great trip with a welcoming, friendly and good host! We drove out to a Fjord with beautiful views and I - the only traveller on this tour - could float in the water as long as I wanted…. It was super relaxing… then a burger cooked on a fire and a few more stops to enjoy the view, see reindeer and find cloudberries. I had a wonderful time!”
At Vervet in Tromsø, you’ll suit up in a wool layer and immersion rescue suit, then float in the harbor with views of the Arctic Cathedral and mountains. Guides such as Juan and Fanny lead the session, with an optional 2 to 3 meter dock jump. The two-hour activity suits ages 8 and up.
“Wow! This was beyond anything I could have imagined. Once we arrived in Tromso, my family was apprehensive about doing this arctic float - it was sooo cold outside, and the idea of suiting up to be in the 34 degree water was not appealing at all. But, we grudgingly went. And we are so glad we did! We all rated this our favorite activity of the trip. It's so relaxing being in the water, and somehow, we stayed warm throughout. Ride the red Arctic Route bus from Tromsø to Sommarøy, then spend about two hours kayaking among islands, beaches, and North Norwegian sea life. Your small group gets a drysuit, gloves, boots, a fish-soup lunch, hiking time, and hotel sauna access. Bring warm layers, beachwear, hiking shoes, and a towel.
“very good organization (bus ride, kayak, lunch) very nice guide during the kayak tour, who showed us and told us a lot about the sea and the creatures, he had tea, coffee and biscuits with him, we could swim in the crystal clear water, it was beautiful, also suitable for teens, the fish soup was very tasty (high in calories), afterwards free time (we went swimming on the white beach again (the very good weather has to be used, great!!! the tour is recommended)”
